Jimmy Carr - Live Stand Up (DVD)

Jimmy Carr is a very funny man, and not just in his stand up, but in all programs he has been in, his memory for jokes is frankly unbeleivable, but in my opinion you need more than just a memory of jokes to be good at stand up. His first DVD had good jokes in, and at times was very funny, but I found that it just felt as if you are reading a joke book, and it was just punch line after punch line. jimmy carr strikes again with his second live dvd! Jimmy carr manages to fire out joke after joke for an entire stand up routine in which you will laugh so much that your stomach and cheeks hurt. somehow, jimmy is able to be rude about women, and rude about students, but i still like it dispite fitting into both of those categories. the age rating certificate on this show is 18, and its content is certainly far more adult than alot of the stuff which jimmy performs on television programmes, he certainly is open with what he says. Jimmy Carr is brilliant very clever witt to him and when i saw this DVD available I knew I had to have it. I saw himin the city of Carlisle near to my home town and I was familliar with the jokjes he might tell, however there were of course variations so i still laughed my ass off! Jimmy Carr has a very clever style of telling some jokes in that hje suggests something without actually saying what you think he means, I hope that makes some kind of sense! This was the first comedian I was introduced to and from the first moment I watched his stand up DVD i was hooked. Whats so good about Jimmy Carr is he delivers one liners and one liners and you find it hard to breath through laughing so hard. His a upper class comedian and so he will play on this and likes to take the mick of of his audience members espescially if he thinks they look like gypseys or chavs. His also extremeley good at getting back at people who heckle him and are soon wishing they didnt bother. Jimmy Carr is a up and coming comedian legend in my opinion, with success from his first DVD his second live stand up 2 although not a catchy title doesnt repeat much material, if jokes are repeated from his first DVD you will find they have been changed slightly to better effect which are garanteed to make you laugh, apart from "machine gun joke telling" Jimmy balances the routine material with audience interaction and pulls it off quite successfully. neatly constructed puns and indignant observations will make you laugh time and time again.
