During this Christmas period I have done something that I rarely do, which is to watch some Christmas movies. The first was shown recently on television and was the Arnold Schwarzenegger movie from 1996 called JINGLE ALL THE WAY. The film follows the escapades of Howard Langston, played by Schwarzenegger, who is a busy businessman who doesn't always manage to find time for his wife and son, played by Rita Wilson and Jake Lloyd respectively. Howard tries to make up for this by getting his son the present he desperately wants, which is a Turbo-Man action figure. The problem is that it is Christmas Eve and everywhere is sold out of this toy as it is the most ... Read the complete review

I love Christmas films and Jingle All the Way is as good as other brilliant films of that type such as Elf, Home Alone and Miracle on 34th street. Jingle all the way was released in 2006. This film is one of the best Christmas films that i have even seen and i do hope that there is more like it in the future. The plot was excellent and really couldn't have been better. Every part of this film was perfect and there were no bad parts. I have always liked Arnold Schwarzenegger's films and another personal favourite was Kinder Garden Cop. Jingle All The Way is worlds apart from the sort of role which he played in that though and it is this film that i will always ... Read the complete review

Ahhh Christmas films! They're coming around again aren't they? Woohoo! Well this is that classic from 1996 that stars Arnold Schwarzenegger as Howard, a stressed out dad that has just one dream: to buy his son the toy he wants for Crimbo. Problem is, everyone else is feeling the same way. This is a nice family comedy and one that will get you in the mood for the festive season. It works because it's so relatable - we've all been in that position have we not where there's a hard to find pressie and we know someone will be upset if we don't find it. Indeed, the film works so well because there's a lot in it for the adult viewer who will only laugh as he watches ... Read the complete review

I'm trying and failing to get into the Christmas spirit, and the other night when I couldn't sleep I ended up watching Jingle All the Way which I thought might help me feel festive! ~The Plot~ Arnold Schwarzenegger plays Howard, a workaholic dad whose job selling mattresses always seems to get in the way of family commitments. When Howard gets stuck in traffic, he misses his young son Jamie's Karate class. Jamie (Jake Lloyd) is very upset, so to make it up to him, Howard asks him what it is he wants for Christmas. Jamie replies that he wants a Turbo Man action figure - unbeknown to Howard, the hottest toy around. Howard promises to get ... Read the complete review

I don't know why but I started thinking of Christmas today and suddenly it dawned on me just how close that occassion is once again. I'm sure there are plenty of parents out there who will just have loved me reminding them of that pocket-lightening fact but for me its a great time? Why? Well, I can do without all the present buying, festive cheer and all the religious rubbish which no one remembers, but I do look forward to the wealth of classic fun movies which they churn out around that period. Last year sucked, so this year can only be better! Jingle All The Way was one of the huge number of seasonal movies which we are assaulted with. When I said I ... Read the complete review
