Jonah: A Veggie Tales Movie (DVD)

Veggietales is a Christian animations series where a group of vegetables re-inact Bible stories, or get involved in an adventure that teaches Biblical principles. Jonah tells the story of, erm, Jonah from the Bible. Jonah the prophet has a message to take to Ninevah, but avoids it and is eaten by a whale on his way back to eventually doing what God told him to do in the first place. We are a family of Christians and whilst I don't mind our boys watching normal television, I also like to feed their spirits with Godly programmes. Vegetales is a child friendly series that teaches young children the stories of the bible but in a very unboring way. This particular film tells the very well known story of Jonah the famous prophet who is told to go to Ninevah and tell them to turn away from their bad ways or God will destroy them.
