Advantages: Attempt to get a body like Jordan's
Disadvantages: Not really an energetic workout
Having three children under the age of four I am a big fan of exercise dvds as they are the only chance I get to do any exercise. There are lots of celebrity dvds and I think it is hard to choose between them. How do you know which will actually give you results. My decision to buy The Jordan Workout was that I am a fan of Jordan and was impressed with how she lost all her baby weight after having Junior, her incentive being that she was getting married 3 months later.
I bought the dvd when it first came out at christmas 2005 when I was 6 months pregnant ready in preparation for trying to lose my baby weight. I did enjoy doing the dvd and I think it did help with my weight lose but after a while I became bored by it and the routine became too easy. It seems more about the glamour than the exercise......with the very pink workout area and Jordan doing many outfit changes. She looks perfect throughout the whole dvd, with not a hair out of place and not sweating or out of breath in the slightest.
Although it is marketed as 'The Jordan Workout' you are actually taken through the workout by personal trainer Richard Callander, Jordan is simply stood at the side of him doing the workout. He takes you through 5 different stages. 'Getting warm' is exactly what it says a warm up. Next is the pulsator, a cardiovascular workout to help burn the fat. Then the next section is called push it, this concentrates on resistance exercises for your legs, bums and arms. Hardcore is the abs section and cool it is the cool down section at the end. If you do all the dvd it takes about 1 hour. There is also a little section in the end about Jordan's juice diet which contributed to her losing the weight.
Overall I would not rate this dvd, it is an ok workout to ease you back into exercise after a long break but it you want to feel like you've had a really good workout then somebody like Davina McCall or Nell McAndrew have much more challenging dvds.
Summary: Good dvd to ease you back into exercise
