I was never a huge fan of Snow White and the Seven Dwarves but looknig back on it with older eyes I can certainally see its charm (if this is true of all children who watched it then perhaps it wasnt such a good childrens film;) ). Even today the animation is superior, with excellent vocal performances and colourful characters, however its is entirely possible that the very dated style and humour may put-off younger viewers. The Jungle Book however is very different film, with more laugh out loud moments and stronger moral undertones. The adaptation of the origional plotline and the characters that are brought forth as a result is enough to bring a smile to ... Read the complete review

Completly timeless classics. Snow White will still be very much loved today as she was all them years ago. The songs from both these films will immediatly transport you back to childhood. I watched The Jungle Book with my two year old son today and we were both singing and dancing to the music! These disney films really never lose that magic that makes a disney film a classic! The story lines for both the films are typical Disney fun. The jungle Book with Baloo the bear and who can forget the ledge himself King Louie (I wanna be like you ooo), and Snow White and the seven dewolfs (can anyone ever remeber all their names!!), even now in 2008 they are still much loved by ... Two classic Disney films together in this Box Set. The Jungle Book is a favourite of mine - I can watch it again and again and recently bought it for my nieces just as an excuse to watch it with them. I am aware of Snow White as a classic as a concept although I do not rate it as highly as the former. Still very watchable, if less so than the Jungle Book, which has so many amazing moments to me, from the Elephant March, to the Bare Necessities song, to the confrontation with Sheer Kahn, which is brewing through the entire movie and inexorably working towards the climax. Baloo is one of the nices and friendliest characters ever in a Disney Movie and his devotion to ... Read the complete review

Well I have been a fan now of snow white and the seven dwarfs for sometime now, from a child when my mother bought me a bottle of coke (that was a lot in them days) and we watched the snow white movie in the back room of a working mens pub, it was a real treat i can tell you. Anyway, snowhite not only captures the "princess" state of childrens dreams, but it also capulated the very true essence of what Disney could do at the time with animation. The animation of snow white is truely the best by disney by a long shot, and the accuracy in which the movie is drawn is breath taking if you know what you are looking for, no other animation has ...
