Advantages: Perfect CGI
Disadvantages: Dodgy plot!
==Jurassic Park 3==
The first time I saw this film was a Skegness- I dont live there I was just on holiday with the family and was looking for something to kill the time! We saw it there on their cinema screen (I think they only had one then) having scene both the prequels we all knew what we were in for- but that didnt stop us sitting at the front!
Im going to stick my neck out and say that the people who never caught this movie at the cinema or scene it on DVD just arnt interested... Its been out now for 6 years and has been shown on television a few times- therefore I going to say really early on in this review if you dont own it already dont buy it! If you have been living under a rock for the last decade and never caught any of the three watch the first one- the original and still the best!
The Plot---
In the third installment paleontologist Dr. Alan Grant (Sam Neill)needs funding for his new theory of vlociraptor intelligence. Along comes wealthy adventurer Paul Kirby (William H. Macy) and his wife Amanda (Tea Leoni)... They persuade the doctor to give them an ariel tour of the infamous island known as Isla Sorna, once InGen's site B. When a tragic accident happens the party of seven find themselves stranded on the island Grant discovers the true reasons why the deceptive hosts have invited him along!
In their perilous attempts to escape the group find themselves encountering new frightening creature undiclosed by InGen, and Grant is forced firsthand the implications of his Raptor theory!
The Pros---
The acting is reasonably good, it is a suspense movie and the shocked faces that they can pull will define, in this film, wheter they can act or not! The main 3 characters that I mentioned above pull great 'shocked faces' the rest of the cast; who cares about they all get eaten by dinosaurs very quickly anyway!
The dinosaurs CGI in this movie is brilliant- when the first broke boundaries this has just continued on- the dinosaurs LOOK REAL and this adds to the jumpiness, the shock, and the suspense! You will see dinosaurs throughout the movie and you never get used to them! Even by todays 'Matrix' standards this is still terror'iffic (get it :P)
The Cons---
The movie feels like its one step too far. The dinosaurs just happen to be faster, stronger, scarier, and more intelligent and the doctor behind it all knows nothing about it? okay!
You dont get no explanation about how these dinosaurs have come about either which is irratating... In Jurassic Park 2 you assumed that was the last of them now magically more appear? Whats all that about? You get told they have 'evolved'- okay?! millions of years in just a few months? Dont think so!
You get my drift the foundations are rubbish! There are soo many pot holes throughout the movie! But then again who really wants to go see Jurassic park for the storyline? If your after a action packed, superficial, no brainer then this would be recommended!
The DVD---
Now this bits confusing theres loads of DVDs to buy!... Theres the original, a directors special edition, the trilogy boxset or my personal favourite ... watch it on television whenever its on again!
If you do decide to go out and buy it then you will be a fan of the extras!

What I can say about this is that its obvious the guys behind it are very proud and deservedly so! If you ignore the plot holes and poorish story line it is worth a watch!

I hear news that Jurassic Park 4 is possible on its way soon! If you liked the first three woop! Im just hoping its more like the original though...(good)!
