With two films under the belt I thought the third one would be a total washout, I mean how much can you do with dinosaurs on an island except run and hide.

The main star i.e. Jeff Goldlum is replaced by Sam Neill playing the part of Dr. Alan Grant very well. Dr. Grant and his researcher Billy (Alessandro Nivola) are as per usual looking for money which is offered in the shape of Paul Kirby (William H. Macy) and his wife Amanda (Tea Leoni) requiring Dr Grants services to fly over Isla Sorna where the Dinosaurs are still all housed. Behind all this Kirby has an alternative plan as his son has gone missing in a paragliding accident and is they believe on the Island of Sorna.

The plane is landed on the Island even after Dr. Grants please not to and the search begins for Eric (Trevor Morgan) and the group soon finds out that it will be hard enough to ensure that they survive never mind anything else.

The film packs in more dinosaurs per square meter than any other of the Jurassic films and the animation is quite fantastic. A new rival dinosaur has been introduced called the Spinosaur, which has a big fight with the T-Rex. Thankfully there are no human and dinosaur fights in this film so you will not see any kids knocking out dinosaurs, as has been previously the case.

Some scenes are quite breathtaking with the film having been done in Hawaii and there are a number of scenes where you jump out of your chair as a dinosaur pops onto the screen when you least expect it.

To me probably the better of all three Jurassic Park films but please don’t make any more there is only so much that can be done with an Island full of dinosaurs. Guaranteed to be one of the summer blockbusters.
