Advantages: Dinosaurs

Disadvantages: Uninspiring End, Predictable

We all went mad at the original 'Jurassic Park', the wonder, the effects the dinosaurs. We went mad again at the second 'The Lost World' the dinosaurs (again), the lenght and the boredom. So what for the third instalment (of what could be six - thats how many have the rights have been bought for).

The good news is that it is far better than the second but it does not match the first as an event. That said the storyline is pretty good and thw main character from the first is back (Sam Neil as Dr. Alan Grant) Hurray!!

Dr. Grant still fighting for money for his work into fossils is hired to act as tour guide by super rich dude (William H. Macy) for a fly over the island currently stocked with free flying dinosaurs. This is prohibited but apparantly permission has been granted due to some connections high up.

All is not as it seems however and very soon the group (or whats left of them) are fighting (more oftern running) in an attempt to escape the island.

The story is pretty good, the dinosaurs are about the same as they were in the last two outings. The pterodactyls were new however and well worth the effort, the other new dinosaur (name unknown) was however something of a disapointment being little more that a T-rex with a different shape and better eyesight.

My only real issues with the film are the weak ending (US Marines save the day without a fight) and the under use of another JP original Laura Dern who appears to be in it for no particular reason other than she knows Dr. Grant. Still all in all a pretty good movie that deserves a view but when did that count for anything.

Also the ending leads the way for JP4 kind of clear which is a little obvious.
