Kaho Naa Pyar Hai(KNPH) means 'Say There's Love' was released in the year 2000, Written, Produced & Directed by Rakesh Roshan. He has given some of the biggest hits from Bollywood, like Khatta Meetha, Karan Arjun, Koi Mil Gaya and many more.
He launched his Hrithik Roshan his son with this movie & Amisha Patel, and this movie went on to become one of the biggest blockbuster. It won almost all awards that year in almost every category. It won a record 108 awards in all.

Plot:

Sonia is a rich girl & Rohit is a struggling singer, but works at a Car showroom for living. They both meet and after few interesting scenes between them they fall in love with each other. Twist comes when Rohit witnesses a murder of senior police official which is done by corrupt police officers Mohnish & Ashish in a drug scandal. They saw Rohit had watched them so they hunt him down and kill him. After this Sonia goes heartbroken and her father sends her to New Zealand so that there she can stay with her Uncle and try to overcome the Incident that shattered her life.
There she meets Raj who is a look a like Rohit. After that they both come to India, seeing Raj the corrupt officer thinks that Rohit is back and they chase Raj, from here the movie takes a different twist?

What happens next is to be find out by watching? There is more left in the story, coz this is just the Basic plot, there are more twist & turns in the movie. Good suspense and a good climax.
Music:

Music was already a huge hit before the release of the movie. Every song of the movie was a big hit, specially 'Ek Pal Ka Jeena' sung by Lucky ali. This was because of the picturization of the song, what a dance performance by Hrithik. He was simply great in it. But my fav song is Kyu Chalti hai pavan sung by Lucky Ali, which is a romantic number, it is simply superb.
Music is given by Rajesh Roshan, brother of Rakesh Roshan. He has given music in every movie of Rakesh Roshan and I always liked his music. The Music, Lyrics and picturization of each song is brilliant.

My Analysis:
Well this movie has everything, in it, from Comedy, Action, Suspense etc.. the only problem you can say is that it was a bit long. But if you watch bollywood movies regularly then this should not be a problem.

Well the movie was going on I thought that it might be the same old Story, at most of the time in the movie, but every time I was wrong. Seeing the Rohit/Sonia love story in start, then when Rohit Died and raj came I thought it would be another twin brother lost story or may its Rohit, but it was different and I enjoyed every bit of this movie.
Hrithik Roshan as a new comer was simply brilliant, he was straight away a superstar In just one release which no other actor was able to do before. He was star of the nation, everyone was simply amazed and saying that a star has born. He has looks, good body and a superb dancer, according to me his the best dancer/actor of Indian cinema today. He is brilliant with his acting, and a new comer to play two different role and that to in his first movie, he has done it brilliantly. Rakesh Roshan had given a perfect launch to his son, after this they made Koi Mil Gaya & Krishh which again were blockbusters. Hrithik one awards at every award function for the best new comer & Best lead actor.

Amisha Patel was also making her debut with this film, earlier Kareena kapoor was suppose to do this film but she opted out and Amisha got the role, she did a good job and complemented Hrithik very well. Although she didn't get the hype as much as Hrithik coz the movie delivers Hrithik more than Amisha, as she could not have done more. But again this was a perfect beginning for her to, as giving a super hit in just your first film is a dream come true.
All other actors have done a very good job and have done justice to their part. Anupam Kher, Farida Jalal, Satish Shah everyone like always are brilliant.

Rakesh Roshan as director & father I think get full points. What a way to launch your son. I always loved his film, and this time also he was not wrong anywhere. One thing about Rakesh Roshan is you will find every movie of his start with the letter K. He is superstitious, so any movie produced or directed by him will start with the alphabet K.
Over all a very good movie to watch, if you are a bollywood fan then I'm sure you will love this movie.
