Kung Fu Panda is a lovely action packed story about a fat Panda called Po. Po is a huge fan of Kung Fu, but works in a noodle shop with his father, a Goose. Po dreams of becoming a King Fu master and part of the Furious Five, consisting of Tigress, Crane, Mantis, Viper and Monkey, who all live together with their Master Shifu. The plot of the story is that basically a former student of Master Shifu, called Tai Lung, who has been imprisoned, escapes and is after the Dragon Scroll. Po accidentally becomes the Dragon warrior after tortoise Master Oogway, picks Po to defend the valley against Tai Lung.

The story then follows the up and downs of Po and his training to become a master of Kung Fu.
Overall I thought King Fu Panda was very good, the scenes are good, the story is heart felt and has a good moral at the end; basically never judge a book by its cover and as usual with a Childs film good conquers overall evil. The characters were interesting and some very funny; Po is voiced by Jack Black and Master Shifu by Dustin Hoffman. Other cast members include Angelina Jolie, Lucy Lui, Ian McShane, Jackie Chan, Seth Rogan and Randall Duk Kim.

The film is made by Dreamworks it was released in 2008, runs for 90mins and is suitable for ages 3 and upwards.

Overall I would recommend this as it is a very enjoyable film, with lots of action and a nice story line. There is also a King Fu Panda 2 that was released in 2011. You can currently purchase the film on DVD from Amazon for £9.47 (September 2012).
