Lage Raho Munnabhai is one of those rarer sequels which stood upto its brilliant prequel Munnabhai MBBS. Directed by Rajkumar Hirani,starring Sanjay Dutt and Arshad Warsi this comedy blends teachings of Gandhi in an urban setting. Wel munna (sanjay dutt) is a kidnapper and workes circuit who is played by arshid warsi. Munna loves to listen to a radio channel because he really likes he lady presenting it. Then there is a compettion on Mahatma Ghandi, whoever wins thin will go on to the show . Munna cheats and gets proffesors and things to answer for him and wins. He then goes into the studio and say's hes a ghandi follower. Whilst being on the show he say's to Janvi he is a proffesor himself. After the show Janvi aske's Munna to to give a lecture on Ghandi to his dad's friends who are Ghandi experts. Munna reads day and night about ghandi and starts to see ghandi. Lage Raho Munnabhai (LRM) was released early in September 2006 and is a sequel to Munnabhai MBBS (which was released in 2003) and was quite a hit with the Bollywood market. Munnabhai MBBS won many awards after its release including Best Supporting Actor for Arshad Warsi, Best Actor in a Comic Role for Sanjay Dutt, Best Film - Critics and Best Dialogue for Abbas Tyrewala. It also won Special Award for Distinction in Directorial Debut for Rajkumar Hirani. I'm only quoting these various awards so you can see what a hard act it was to follow.
