Larry Crowne was released in 2011, directed by Tom Hanks and starring Tom Hanks and Julia Roberts as lead roles. Although it did catch my attention when in the cinema I didn't go and see it and only recently picked it up cheaply on DVD and sat down and watched it. First impressions of the film were that it was quite slow going and it took quite a while to actually get to the main story line but it's good watching and a good chick flick, relaxing movie. The story's main character is Larry Crowne (played by Tom Hanks) who loses his long term job, he decides to enrol at a local college to start his life over where he becomes part of an varied group of students. ...  Read the complete review
