Joel Hopkins directs this romantic movie LAST CHANCE HARVEY. The film centres on Dustin Hoffman's character Harvey who is having a hard time as a jingle writer for commercials. At the same time Kate played by Emma Thompson is an airport worker who is very lonely as she also look after her sick mother. When Harvey and kate bump into each other they realise there is chemistry. They also realise that fate has brought them together when they accidentaly bump into each other again. Last Chance Harvey, written and directed by Joel Hopkins is what I would describe as a "nice" film, it is not particularly fast paced or overly dramatic, it is however a touching story and extremely heart warming, if a little predictable at the end. Dustin Hoffman and Emma Thompson are paired up as two lonely souls, from very different walks of life, who meet by chance and impact significantly on one another's lives. This is one of those films I hung back from watching until I'd seen everything else at the cinema. The concept of seventy-one-year old Dustin Hoffman in a late life romance wasn't all that appealing. But I read good reports of the film, so decided to go. Harvey Shine (Dustin Hoffman) is an aging jingle composer for American tv adverts. But his job is under threat from new and younger talent.
