The Last Holiday is a film about a woman called Georgia Bryd who finds out she doesn't have long to live. Georgia, played brilliantly by Queen Latifah, has never lived life to the full. It takes this life changing news for her to start really living her life. It's not so much a romantic comedy but more a touching film of a woman finally living her dreams and how she handles finding out how she is going to die. Obviously with some light hearted comedy.

The film is not as serious as it sounds, but it does have the lesson of living every day as if you could die tomorrow. A touching moment, is when she looks at her 'possibilities' book. Most people, whether in a book or not, have a list of possibilities or aspirations that they would want to do in their life. When I first watched this film, I wanted to live all my dreams and start living life to the full straight away!

At the start of the film we see LL Cool J. He is the romantic lead of the film and plays the nice guy very well. Although there is a romantic lead, as I said before it is not primarily about the romance. Yet it still is not done as an after thought so it adds to the film instead of it just being another storyline.

Georgia gets to experience the high life in a very fancy hotel so cue a group of rich folk who are all taken aback by her. Georgia helps each of the characters by using some of her wisdom so that all except one are in awe of her. She starts living life the way she wanted to before. She speaks her mind, tries new experiences (base jumping!) and starts being more confident and enjoys new things.

This film makes me laugh and cry. It's a good film that at times is a lot more light-hearted than you would expect. There are several touching moments that can be over something as seemingly small as a ceiling. This film is an amazing film that I would recommend to anyone.

Summary: Film about a woman who starts to live her life when she finds out she's going to die.
