... hell of it) and says that the invisible W.E Sawyer lived to see trial. WRONG! Once again. Chainsaw 2 & 4 clearly state that none of the family members was ever apprehended. So yep, the start doesn’t make sense, moving on…. The film continues its contradictions and ignorance as it goes along. In “Leatherface: The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3”, an entirely new family of cannibals is featured, yet the film doesn’t even attempt to answer questions such as who are they? Where are they from? Etc. So not only does it ...more

Ever tasted flat coke? Well that’s the taste of this below par sequel. Firstly, you would have thought, that a brief summery on previous films in the series wouldn’t really confuse the audience, and you’d also think that it would be something so simple; it couldn’t possibly be something that could be got wrong. But amazingly, the film does a masterpiece job of completely throwing the audience and fans of the series right off track, quite an achievement really to completely confuse the audience before the open credits role. What do I mean? Well the opening summery babbles on about a so-called W.E Sawyer who died in a gas chamber in 1982 and Leatherface was ...  Read the complete review

This is my review of the 3rd installment in the ever increasing Texas Chainsaw Massacre saga: 'Leatherface'. If you've read my reviews on the previous TCM movies, then you'll understand my position on these sequels... they aren't ANYTHING like the original. As with TCM 2, the original actor of Leatherface (the chainsaw weilding man who carves people up for dinner) who was in the first film, isn't in this one. 'Leatherface: The Texas Chainsaw Massacre III' begins with the now common voice-over introduction. From this we learn of how only one of the murderous "family" lived to stand trial (dying in 1981) and that ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Leatherface: Texas Chainsaw Massacre III (DVD): waste of time (106 words)

I picked up the video in the shop thinking it might be goog. I was grossly mistaken. It has to be the wierdest film. A gang of kids on prom nite (typical!) get hunted by this psycho 3some, one who is the supposed chainsaw massacarist. One of course escapes after going through a series of totally unrealistic events. This films confusing, bad acted. Plain crap. There is one qiete morbidly funny part though when she, the heroine, realizes everyone around the dinner table apart from her and the massacarist are dead. There are also some inventive ways used of how the other kids get killed. ...  Read the complete review
