For my birthday last year, my boyfriend got us tickets to see Lee Evans Live at the Nottingham Arena, in November. I was so excited as I love Lee Evans, I already had all of his shows on video, but I had never seen him live. The day came and we made our way over to Nottingham, and we saw what I would describe as the funniest show that I had ever seen. My cheeks ached from all the laughing. I’m a huge fan of Lee Evans. I went to see him twice on his last stand up comedy tour in 2002 and had been eagerly awaiting his return ever since. So when tickets for his shows in December 2005 went on sale in the summer of 2004, we booked up straight away, regardless of the 18 month wait between the purchase and the show. I had seen Lee Evans clips quite a few times on the telly but never actually seen a whole show of his so when i saw this one was going to be at a theatre near me soon i tried getting tickets much to my disapointment i missed out so the dvd when it came out was the next best thing. Lee Evans does stand up comedy but in his own very unique way and ive not ever seen anyone who can match up with this style.I think he is a bit like marmite you will either love him or hate him....i love him !!! Lee Evans is a little like marmite, you either love him or hate him. Now, I find it hard to understand how anyone can watch this DVD and say that they didn't enjoy it. I've had to purchasr this again due to the excessive use from the old disc. If you haven't heard of Lee Evans, i would recommend going on youtube and having a quick sneak peak at some of his clips. Search for 'chavs' or 'parcel force'. If that makes you laugh, get the DVD, because the whole show is absoluteley hillarious. I have seen this dvd so many times and it just gets funnier every time.
