... and excessive amounts of blood. Even though it isn't too great a film the actors including Warwick Davis and Jennifer Aniston managed to hold the film together. There are three other Leprechaun which I haven't got round to watching yet unfortunately. One of the entertainment factors is the Leprechauns use of vehicles which are tricicles, conviniently small cars, skateboards, wheelchairs and more. If you like a good laugh or if you like to see people getting 'pogo-sticked' too death then this is an alright film for you....more

Yes, I know this film was probably meant to be serious but when I watched this it was the most hilarious thing i had ever seen. I just watched 'Leprechaun' again last night, and was reminded of just what a great film this is. The Lep is a true hero, and one of the most endearing characters to come out of the horror genre in the 1990s. For sure, unless you are a kid, then this film probably leans more towards humour than horror, but I have found it to be both imaginative and irresistable. Premium Review Leprechaun (DVD): "Where's Me Gold?!" (614 words)

Leprechaun is an interesting movie, although I never could work out exactly where the film makers were coming from with it. It seemed to be billed as a horror movie, interviews with the cast at the time described as being a horror movie and yet when I watched it, I thought it was the funniest movie I had seen all year. I suppose there wasn't that much chance of a movie about a murderous leprechaun being particularly scary so one wonders why it was billed as such. Basically then, its not a horror movie, but rather a horror comedy, with the emphasis on comedy. As a comedy its also extremely dumb, but I kinda like it, so I'm going to recommend it to you anyway... ...  Read the complete review
