A review of just the film. This is a low-budget, understated horror movie from 1971. It's acquired a reputation as an underrated classic, a subtly chilling little film deserving of a wider audience. I can't agree with that at all. A woman called Jessica has just been released from a sanatorium. Along with her hippie husband and their hippie friend Woody, she goes to live in a remote farmhouse. They find a girl called Emily already living there, and decide to let her stay out of the hippie goodness of their hearts. But soon Jessica is plagued by strange voices and seeing things that no one else can see. Is her mental illness reoccurring, or is there ...
