Line of Control is a Hindi language film and is the biggest ever war film made in India (at the time of its release and still at the time of writing in 2008). It is a very lengthy film at over 4 hours in length and was released in 2003. SYNOPSIS The film has been made in documentary/drama style and tells the story of Operation Vijay in Kargil in 1999 as a way of paying tribute to those who fought and gave up their lives in this war. The war took place due to Pakistani forces intruding past the "line of control" into Indian Territory causing the Indian government to instruct its army to defend Indian borders.
