There are some films that are so bad that they haunt your dreams. To this day I sometimes wake up in the middle of the night in a cold sweat only for my partner to turn to me and say 'The Cell again?' Jennifer Lopez's 'The Cell' and Michael Mann's 'Miami Vice' are two films that are amongst my least favourite. Not only were they awful films, but they also had the tenacity to spend huge budgets on this rubbish. It is the lack of budget that means I am often less harsh on one genre - the comedy. I approached this film with a mixture of loathing, fear and revulsion. I was not disappointed! The whole idea of a very tiny, but fully formed man, pretending to be a baby for a childless couple is wrong on so many counts - but when you add the delightful mixture of nauseating faeces jokes, misogyny and a type of date rape, then it all becomes just too much! Marlon Wayans plays Calvin, a tiny and very weird-looking ex-con turned jewel thief who poses as a toddler in order to retrieve a diamond he hid with childless couple Daryl and Vanessa (played by Shawn Wayans and Kerry Washington). This is a great little movie choc-a-bloc with breastfeeding jokes, crotch hit shots, poo poo humour and... sometimes... a bit of a rough and tumble... and, to top it all off, a message - what it means to truly love someone. True, that message is sometimes hidden, but it's there for those who pay attention. Little man was quite an entertainment and a good time pass with simple hilarious jokes and also the actors performed quite well. The Little guy named Calvin was the main attraction of the movie who had most of the part in the movie. I personally liked the movie due to the fact that the script was quite familiar however the way it was handled with different twists and turn provided the movie with the motive to be successful.
