I am not one too often buy DVD's although I do watch a lot of movies. Some I borrow and other movies I watch through other means apart from DVD's. However this was one that I had to buy and although it is not a movie it is about an event that was so spectacular that the result may not happen again for another hundred years.

In case you are confused what I mean by this, well only way you could be is if you are not a football fan, I am talking about the Champions League Final. The most prestigious club competition in the world. This DVD covers Liverpool's route all the way to and including the amazing comeback in the final. Yes this is targeted mostly at Liverpool fans and this would be the ideal gift for anyone who supports Liverpool.

This contains two disks and definitely to disks is needed as it is not possible to fit all this information onto just one disk. Basically the first disk contains the route to the final, with highlights of all the matches including the qualifiers and the second disk contains the full match and interviews with a lot of the players and their perspective of what went on during this crazy match.

Being a huge Liverpool fan myself I may be biased when I say that the final is the best comeback and one of the greatest match of all time, however I do truly believe this. With Liverpool being such huge underdogs and especially at 3-0, down after the first half it did look impossible to come back and win the game. It really is in the style of Rocky and shows that anything is possible.

As I said before this is a must have for Liverpool FC fans, however the only downside I feel is that their were not full matches for all the other games that they played in the Champions League. This is just me being fussy though as I thought some of the other games were great like when Liverpool needed three goals to go through against Olympiakos and Gerrard scored in the 88th game. I am sure that if you were watching that match you must remember Andy Gray's reaction to his goal.

I feel sorry for football fans that missed this final and in particular I do remember hearing about some Liverpool fans who left at half time. Imagine travelling all the way to Istanbul and then to leave at half time. The fans that stayed got behind the team and lifted them when they needed it most. I know come the end of my life there will be some memorable moments in my life and experiencing the highs and lows of this match will definitely be one of the. The only thing that could have topped this would have been to take the road to Istanbul myself and experienced the match in the stadium.
