A Mobile Army Surgical Hospital (M.A.S.H) stationed on the front line of the Korean War may not seem the most obvious setting for a comedy. However, Robert Altman’s Oscar-winning film comedy, M*A*S*H (1970), was just that. Not only was the film a success in itself but it also spawned a cult TV series. First of all let me say here, the movie MASH is nothing like the television show MASH; and while I like them both, they can't be compared. So when you watch the movie, forget everything you know about the t.v. show, act like it's a whole new story. If you can do this, then you will truly enjoy this movie. Every part of this movie is good. A few of my favorite moments are when they push Frank over the edge, he's taken away in a straight jacket. When Hawkeye and Trapper John go ...
