But the problem is that she can't do it on her own and needs two others in the team to make it work. Mad Money (DVD): Good, fun easy to watch crime-comedy! (495 words)
by - written on 04/09/09 (Very useful, 11 readings)
Rating:

This film has had some mixed reviews in a lot of places I've looked at but for me, this was a good entertaining crime-comedy with some very good acting! The film's main three characters are Bridget (Diane Keaton), Jackie (Katie Holmes) and Nina (Queen Latifah). They are three women with three very different lives with one thing in common - the need to be rich - or at least richer than they are now. Bridget and husband Don (Ted Danson) are struggling to make ends meet - Bridget hasn't worked for years and Don's been laid off with seemingly no prospect of finding a job anytime soon. So Bridget decides to take a cleaning job at her local bank. Jackie and Nina ...  Read the complete review

It is what it is. (774 words)

You know sometimes you just feel like watching something light and foolish without layers of complexity, storyline or intriguing plots. Yes there is a time for that as well but when you have had a few glasses of wine, and don't mind nodding off halfway through a film well then this ones perfect! And for the record I didn't even nod off, so that's a success all in itself, after a bottle of wine, and a huge meal! Actors: I am only listing the three main characters along with the men that accompany them. Diane Keaton ... Bridget Cardigan Ted Danson ... Don Cardigan Katie Holmes ... Mad Money (DVD): Wait for it on TV (330 words)
by - written on 16/02/10 (Very useful, 61 readings)
Rating:

I think this film was pretty much straight to video as I don't ever remember seeing it on at the cinema. It has a pretty strong cast with Diane Keaton, Queen Latifah and Katies Holmes supported by Ted Danson. The film centres around the Kansas City Federal Reserve Bank where Bridget (Diane Keaton) gets a job as a cleaner after she learns from her husband Don (Ted Danson) that they are hundreds of thousands of dollars in debt. With no real qualifications or experience a cleaner is the best Bridget can hope for, but while she is cleaning in the bank she devises a scheme to steal some of the bank notes that are removed from circulation to be shredded. But the ...  Read the complete review

Really quite dull... (301 words)
by - written on 28/12/09 (Very useful, 5 readings)
Rating:

Mad Money is a rather dodgy comedy that, in a miraculous move, almost manages to make Diane Keaton temporarily unlikeable, which is no mean feat. The film revolves around three women who get caught for suspected theft. The first is Bridget Cardigan (Diane Keaton), a woman who lived a rather cushy lifestyle with her husband, Don Cardigan (Ted Danson), until he was fired in a cost-cutting measure, leaving them with very little money. Bridget then gets a job at the bank, where she concocts a scheme to steal worn-out money that is otherwise just going to be incinerated. She approaches Nina (Queen Latifah), who destroys the bills, and Jackie (Katie Holmes), who ...  Read the complete review

Mad Money is a below average comedy which stars Diane Keaton, Ted Danson, Queen Latifah and Katie Holmes which was released in 2008. Keaton plays Brdget Cardigan and she is married to Don who is played by Ted Danson, they have a very comfortable wealthy lifestyle however they live their life to the full which means they have little savings so when he is fired from his high paying job they soon are faced with either having to make some adjustments or find another income source, she gets a job working at a bank and strikes on a scheme to defraud the bank of money that is destined to be destroyed. Working with two other women, Nina played by Queen Latifah and ...  Read the complete review
