 ... because this film focuses on burlesque and the more feminine style of dancing. Saying that, this is rated PG and there is no nudity or anything of that sort in the film. Usually burlesque is a little more raunchy than portrayed here, but obviously they wanted to get the younger viewers. The dance scenes themselves are well choreographed and Mary Elizabeth Winstead is a very capable dancer as well as actress. Lauryn (Mary Elizabeth Winstead) is a born dancer and it's always been her dream to dance. But after her father's death Lauryn has been working in the family garage which was passed down to her brother. After a few years, Lauryn decides to go to Chicago and audition for the Chicago School of Music and Dance. Non stop practicing isn't enough though, and Lauryn doesn't make it into the school. Embarrassed to go home and face her brother, she stays in Chicago and gets a job as a book keeper in a burlesque club. It isn't long before Lauryn is dancing there and suddenly she feels alive again. Make it happen was released in 2008. It was co written by Duane Adler, who was also screenwriter for Save the last dance and Step up. It is rated PG, as there are only a couple of minor uses or bad language, burlesque dancing and club scenes. The film is 90 minutes long. Plot Lauryn Kirk has always wanted to be a dancer but she currently works in her brother's garage, which used to be her father's before he died.
