This is another of those films that I discover when I'm on a thurst for sunday afternoon entertainment. I managed to get a copy from amazon last week for just over £4, and finally slipped it into the DVD player on sunday. Whilst working as night manager at his parent's motel, Mike meets guest Sue, who is an art dealer travelling through on business. His current existence is looking after his dying mother, his dismissive father, and living in the apartment above the motel. So when he meets Sue, he takes it upon himself to chase after her back to the city where she lives. Sue is initially freaked out by his unwanted attention, but soon finds ... Read the complete review

The Management is said to be a romantic comedy but I would say it is a drama with some funny plots. I expected to watch a chick flick and this film wasn't that kind of film. It was written and directed by Stephen Belber. This was his first movie he directed but he wrote the screenplay of Tape and The Laramie Project. I admit that I haven't heard of them. The classification of this film is 15 years and over because of strong language in some plots. The running time is 94 minutes. Main Cast: ----------------- Jennifer Aniston - Sue Steve Zahn - Mike Woody Harrelson - Jango James Hiroyuki Liao - ... Read the complete review

Sue Claussen works selling art, and everything is normal in her life when she checks into a motel one night. Unluckily for her, the night manager Mike spots Sue and decides to woo her with a bottle of champagne. Sue tries to spurn his advances, but ends up letting him get closer to her than she expected. When she obviously has to return home, Mike decides to follow Sue even though she makes it clear she's isn't interested and has a boyfriend of her own. Mike won't give up though, and despite some of his own personal troubles, goes about trying to win Sue over and make her love him back. Will the bumbling hotel manager win the rich art dealer's heart, or can't she look ... Read the complete review

Management is an incredibly limited release, and in the UK even didn't get a theatrical release; it hit DVD a few weeks ago and has earned some fairly solid criticism for something that didn't even hit cinemas. With all of the dross that gets released, it's a shame this slightly daring and agreeably edgy film didn't get a go. Mike (Steve Zahn) works at his parent's motel, managing it at night, when one day he meets Sue (Jennifer Aniston), who is staying at his motel for the weekend, and he is instantly attracted to her. From here, he tries to stalk her, and although you'd expect the film to become some sort of strange stalker thriller, she intermittently ... Read the complete review

Do you ever watch a film that you expect to be poor, but go into it with low expectations and come out happily surprised? Well, never was this more appropriate than with 'Management', the new rom-com from Jeniffer Aniston. The plot revolves around Sue a traveling sales-woman who stays in a remote motel run by a quirky family. The son in the family (Mike), takes a liking to Sue, and tries to chat her up during her stay. She guesses this, and just wanting to get rid of him, lets her feel his bum. This tips Mike over the edge, and he soon goes on a round the states road-trip to find her and woo her. This film is a mix of rom-com and wannabe ... Read the complete review
