My thoughts:
This movie is based on the novel of the same name by Winston Graham.
This is an excellent movie. It has a good story that is easy to get caught up in.
The film is directed by Alfred Hitchcock, and once again he did a superb job. He used all of the right camera angles, the best camera positions and included all of the little twists and turns that make it a Hitchcock classic.
Tippi Hedren was wonderful as the pathological yet somehow innocent Marnie. She was beautiful and sweet, and cunning and conniving all at the same time. Hitchcock definitely made the right choice in casting her.
Sean Connery was excellent as Mark Rutland. He was calm and cool throughout and seemed unflappable. He was handsome and charming as well. Hitchcock also made the right choice in casting him.
And, both Diane Baker and Louise Latham gave great performances in their supporting roles as the jealous sister-in-law in love with Mark, and the bitter mother reluctant to love her daughter.
All in all, this is another great Hitchcock movie and I would definitely recommend it to all, especially Hitchcock fans.
