Advantages: funny, entertaining

Mean girls has to be one of my favourite films, I didn't really know what to expect from it but I have to say I enjoyed it so much, I have lost count how many times I have seen it now. The film was released in the UK in 2004 and was directed by Mark Walters.

** The Plot **

Cady Heron was raised in Africa by her zoologist parents, when they return to America Cady has her first experience of high school, one she wasn't really prepared for. Two out casts, Damian and Janis, take Cady under their wings and fill her in on all the do's and donts of school life and a in-depth description of the groups within the school, especially the Plastics. The pair talk Cady into finding out as much as she can about Regina George, queen bee of the plastics, in order to humiliate her the way Regina has humiliated all the unpopular kids in the school. However the plan goes to far and its soon turns into survival of the bitc*es.

** The cast **

Lindsay Lohan plays newbie Cady Heron
Rachel McAdams plays Super Bitc* Regina George
Lacey Chabert plays popular Gretchen Wieners
Lizzy Caplan plays bitter Janis Ian
Amanda Seyfried plays ditzy Karen Smith
Daniel Franzese plays loser Damian
Jonathan Bennett plays hotty Aaron Samuels

** My Opinion **

I thought this film would be very juvenile... and it was lol, I loved every minute of it. Cady's used to dealing with animals and she compares school life and kids behaviours to those of the animals in the jungle, its hilarious. The girls are extremely mean, its just what you would imagine an American school to be like. I don't think I have seen another film quite like this one, its definitely one for the girls, I couldn't imagine a man watching this film and actually understanding it. Only us girls know how we work, and why it is that we do the things we do or how it feels not to look our bests etc. I think this film is aimed at an audience between the ages of 15-25, or for those who are generally young at heart, there are a few strong sexual references although its more funny than crude. Overall I would say that this film is very funny and entertaining. The more i watch it the more I love it, its very quirky and fun to watch and the actresses do a great job, I think this is the best film Lindsey Lohan has done unfortunately I don't think she will ever match her performance and almost done too good a job with this film.

Summary: great chick flick
