Advantages: Good feel good movie

Disadvantages: long!

I saw Joe Black for the first time last night, and thought it was very good. I cried buckets at the end - always a good sign!
Brad Pitt plays death for most of the film, come to take a rich tycoon played very well by Anthony Hopkins. However, death asks Anthony Hopkins to show him around, and in the mean time AH gets to live a bit longer.
In the course of the film, death falls in love with Anthony Hopkins' daughter, helps AH get back directorship of his country, and generally turns into a good guy!
It is a long film at three hours, and it can drag a bit, but most of it is plot development, so you are concentrating for most of them three hours. I also found that it wasnt obvious what the ending was going to be, it kept me guessing, and I thought that was good as most films you guess the ending from the beginning!
It was a bittersweet ending I guess, without giving too much away, and like I say it left me crying. A very good feel good movie I thought.
