Advantages: Funny, Excellent film, Highly orignal
Disadvantages: Not to everyone's taste
When you think of a puppet film you most people will think of a muppet film or something for children but others, who have seen meet the feebles will probably think in a very different way. Meet the Feebles is all about the cast of the feeble varitey hour, that get massacred and show them preparing for their big tv show. The show stars Heidi the Hippo and along with her they are other people like Harry the Rabbit, Wynyard the frog and the newest addition Robert (Wobert) the hedgehog. The show it's self seems like a nice family show but what happens backstage is not for kids. Heidi's boyfriend Bletch, a seal is having an affair with a siamese cat, Trevor is making porn movies in the basement and with Bletch is aiming to win the hooker prize. Bletch and Trevor are also doing a major drug deal. Not all of the cast are horrible. Robert is trying to romance Lucile, a poodle with the help of the stage manager Arther, a worm. Sebastion, a fox is frantically worried that the show won't be perfect and wants to preform his song, which is about sodomy, in the show. Wynyard the frog is also having problems, he's addicted to drugs and hasn't any money. He explains to Robert that after fighting in the war he is addicted to everything. Harry is also having some trouble and thinks he has aids. As you can see nice family fun. This film is defintely not for kids. It has been described as the muppets on acid which is right and the most sickest film ever made which is also slightly true. It may not be to everyones taste, but those of us with a sick sense of humour find this film utterly hilrious. There are excellent songs like "I've got one leg missing how do I get around" Vitenam flashbacks, with decapitated frogs and even a bloody masscre at the end. This is Peter Jackson's second film and one of my favourites of his. I would recommend it.
