Meet the Parents is a comedy film released in 2000.

Ben Stiller plays male nurse Gaylord Greg Focker. He wants to propose to girlfriend Pamela Byrnes. Before he can do that she takes him to meet her parents, all of her family is attending her sisters wedding.

Pam’s father Jack Byrnes (Robert Di Nero) is ex CIA man. He has weird set of values in life, circle of trust is where Jack trusts everyone, since he doesn’t know Gaylord he can’t trust him until Greg passes all the tests.

A sceptical Jack and mistake ridden Greg results in clash of the titans where Greg comes off worse in every encounter.

All of this film is built on father in law and son in law clashes.

Either this is a very good film or Di Nero is desperate to make money and will star in any film. He has been one of the busiest actors in the industry and in most films he is good but in here role he plays is strange and it doesn’t do anything for him to show his talents as an actor.

The film will be hated by some people, lot of jokes are similar to the name of role played by Ben Stiller, nasty, disgusting and tasteless, unfortunately the film is built on these jokes so avoid it if you don’t like vulgar language otherwise laugh at the antics of lead characters.

Summary: Di Nero is in it.
