Meet the Parents

Meet the parents is a great film that you can just sit down, watch and enjoy. It is filled with humor and utterly embarrassing situations that no one would ever want to be in when you need to impress your father in law which in a sense make this film so good.

[Overview]
Greg Focker, a male nurse desperately wants to marry his girlfriend Pam, but, to do so he needs to impress his would be father-in-law. However no matter how hard he tries things never go to plan and appear worse off then they ever were.
Meet the parents is a great film about the, and sometimes completely ridiculous ways to impress his father-in-law. It is filled with great comedy and unimaginable ideas which makes this film even more unique and exciting to watch.

[The storyline]
Put simply this film is engaging from the start. The initial meeting with the parents shows the great care that the writers did to make this film so fun and enjoyable to watch. Admittedly some of the jokes may not make you laugh out loud but the humiliation that Greg faces is enough to engage the viewer. The storyline consists of also some great scenes scenes with bring a new meaning to making a bad first impression but making the film so engaging to watch on the fact that it is so unrealistic. The complete mockery that Greg faces from being a male nurse is continued throughout the story along with the fathers immediate disliking to Greg which is the key element. This itself makes the viewer personally feel embarrassed for him with the well thought out storyline providing a perfect opportunity for such an awful thing to happen at such a key moment. However some of the jokes do get a bit old coming to the end of the film however in some ways i am sure the viewer can relate to some circumstances which makes this film even more enjoyable.

Overall i think that this film is so enjoyable anybody can watch it and not be disappointed. The scenes are well thought out and the idea is somewhat unique as there are not many films which can make a basic idea of meeting your would be parents so compelling.
