Meet the Parents stars Ben Stiller as a Chicago-based male nurse called Greg Focker. Greg is about to propose to his schoolteacher girlfriend called Pam (Teri Polo) but when her sister Debbie (Nicole Dehuff) calls and explains that her new fiancé, Dr. Bob Banks (Tom McCarthy) received a blessing from her father before he asked the big question Greg decides that when they fly over to help Debbie plan her wedding in the weeks that follow it is the perfect opportunity to meet Pam's overprotective parents and ask for their blessing before he proposes but when he meets her parents Jack and Dina Byrnes (Robert De Niro and Blythe Danner) he soon realises that he is not going to live up to their expectation.
As Greg meets Pam's brother Denny (Jon Abrahams) and Debbie's soon to be in-laws Larry (James Rebhorn) and Linda Banks (Phillis George), Greg starts to realise that the more people who show up the worse things seem to go for him.
When Pam's wealthy ex-fiancée, Kevin Rawley (Owen Wilson) shows up it is obvious that Greg is never going to live up to her families expectations but can all be saved and he manage to be with the woman of his dreams?

Meet the Parents is a huge comedy hit with a fantastic cast, brilliant plot and script that manages to deliver huge laughs throughout. The film is one of the films I have enjoyed most of recent times thanks in no small part to the cast puting in amazing performances throughout which makes the story work brilliantly well and allow the laughs written in to be delivered with perfection consistently. If you loke Ben Stiller then this is amongst his best performances and will not disappoint with the laughs.
