Advantages: so funny!

Disadvantages: a certain type of humour

I remember hearing about this and when i went to my friends she said that it was really good so we all sat around and watched it. I had my doubts at first as my friends idea of a good film is not really mine but anyway i was shocked when i found out it was really good. It had to be one of the funniest things i had seen that year!

Directed by Jay Roach (Austin Poweres saga), Meet the Parents tells the story, and mishaps, of Gaylord 'Greg' Focker (great name btw), played by the fab Ben Stiller, as the loveable yet hapless male nurse who has to finally meet his girlfriends parents.

Greg is intent on marrying his long term girlfriend Pam (Teri Polo) but first he has to meet the parents and most of all impress Pam's over protective, ex CIA father, Jack (played by the brilliant Robert DeNiro). Of course it all goes horribly wrong with Greg giving Pam's sister, and the bride to be, Debbie a black eye and a broken nose, setting fire to the alter (lovingly made by Pam's 'perfect' ex fiancee Kevin -Owen Wilson, who Jack loves) and losing Jack's beloved pet cat Jinxie. Throw in a cat using Jack's mothers ashes as a litter box (after Greg knocked them over), tiny speedos, an overflowing sesspool and an embrassingly probing lie dector test from Jack Meet the Parents is a sure fire hit!!

And at only 52p at amazon it's a steal!

Summary: Great comic film!
