Advantages: great twists

Disadvantages: film you need to really focus on

This film is a wonderfully crafted film. Guy pearce plays the lead role of Leonard fantasticly. Leonard used to work for an insurance company,was happily married and found life quite easy. Then one night he hears his wife screaming,he bundles into the bathroom but the attacker is too quick and knocks Leonard unconscious.Leonards wife doesn't survive the attack and Leonard wakes up with a rare disorder of not being able to remember anything again from that night,only what happened before he was knocked unconscious.
The only way he has of remembering things is by writing them down or tattooing them on himself.
Revenge is the only thing on Leonards mind and he will stop at nothing to get it, the only problem being, will he remember it when he gets it?
This film is strange layout it works from present day backwards ie. it shows him doing something first then it will go back to the day before to show you why he is doing it,sounds weird and it is a bit but it works and adds to the suspense and excitement.
The film is a great give great insight to how easy it is to manipulate someone without a long term memory.
Memento is a wonderful thriller with great twists and turns with humourous bits in between. When Leonard is being chased i found amusing. if you have seen the film you will know what im talking about, if not you should.
This is a film you can watch over and over in fact you might need to because its a "thinker", with that i mean you really have to take everything in at all times because it may be brought up later in the film.
I would recommend this film to anyone the film is top drawer.watch it!
