Advantages: Even funnier than the first one, timely cameos by Michael Jackson and Martha Stewart, that adorable dog that's worth a laugh a minute

Disadvantages: Awful plot, no new ideas, full of plotholes

They were funny in the first MIB and in the first Rush Hour. When you try to repeat that, it gets old. Was the dog the star of the movie or was it Will Smith? I couldn't tell.

No thought went into this movie at all. The plot was choppy with obvious plot holes and the acting leaves something to be desired. It was worth some good laughs I admit that, but most people didn't come just for the laughs. Never once did the special effects 'wow' me.

I've been dragged to this movie three times now by my friends. I don't want to see it ever again. The first Men in Black was so special, I considered it one of the smartest and most thought-out movies I've ever seen. Not this garbage.

The villaness is Serleena, played by some Victoria's Secret model who forgets she's in a comedy. She lands on Earth and just starts to gross everybody in the theatre out by sticking her vine things in people's noses. Her henchman is the typical dumb idiot.

The talking dog saved the movie, although I think they overused him just a tad bit. In the first movie, he appeared in only one amusing scene. Everything he does in this movie gets laughs, although in the end it does get old.

I would prefer not to go into every detail. The movie starts out promising, showing a TV documentary making fun of the MIB which made me chuckle a bit. Clever. Now we see the real MIB, Will Smith as 'Agent J' with his new partner, whatever his letter is. So they decide to get the ball rolling with Agent J ending up erasing his partner's memory right at the beginning again, hey, it worked in the first, why not in here? So there is this Light of Zartha thing that is never explained what it does or how it came into existence, and it is carried by this girl who for some reason Agent K instantly realizes is the Light of Zartha without explaining why, and she is supposedly the daughter of some queen person which is never explained.
Yes, I did say there were a lot of plot holes in the movie.

Serleena is after the Light of Zartha, but the only person who knows where it is is Agent K, who was neuralized. Agent J goes to get his memory back and they go on a pointless search for clues to find where the Light of Zartha is.

Agent J is attracted to what is supposedly supposed to be the Light of Zartha, which doesn't make sense because they say the Light is a jewel, but it is really a person? Ok....this movie really lost me with it's pointless plot.

The final scene which was supposed to excite me was also dissapointing. Agent K is battling this giant worm thing infested by Serleena and he's just using this pitiful gun which creates no excitement at all. It just gets shot a whole bunch of times and falls until it takes a big shot and explodes into fireworks over the Statue of Liberty. That made a lot of sense too.

The cameos from Michael Jackson and Martha Stewart were genius. Jackson's cameo made me laugh the most in the entire movie, and Martha Stewart's appearance was very carefully planned. Thumbs up on that part.

Even the song Will Smith made "Black Suits Comin' (Nod Ya Head)" annoys me. It cannot even be on the same planet as the song Smith made for the first movie "Here Comes the Men in Black" which was both catchy and a good song designed for the movie.

This movie presented no new ideas whatsoever while the first one was as inventive as they come. Humor can only get movies so far. If there is ever another MIB made, I will still see it. It's like James Bond movies, there are several made but once you see the first one, you're gonna want to see everyone of them even when they're basically the same thing. Don't waste your money on this movie, if you want to see a real sci-fi movie that's out, see Minority Report.
