Advantages: Good mix of action & comedy. Suitable for all the family.

Disadvantages: Can be silly at times.

Men in Black was made in 1997 and is a film based on the Malibu comic by Lowell Cunningham.

The film begins with Will Smith a member of the NYPD chasing a suspect in a crime. He manages to follow him up a tall biulding where the suspect jumps to his death.

Agent Kay of the Men in Black spots the talent in Will Smith after chasing down on foot what turned out to be an Alien. He invites him to a meeting at MIB headquarters for new recruits. Will Smith is given the job after beating the other aplicants.

The film then follows the adventure of the two MIB agents as they try to prevent the destuction of planet earth by aliens.

This DVD version has both 4:3 & 16:9 formats on disc one. In the special features it has over 1000 images, two different commentaries & extended & alternate scenes.

I really like this film. For a sci fi film it isn't too out there & has quite a few laughs & good action scenes. It has also spawned a sequel & a theme park ride in Florida.

If you want to watch a fun film that is light going & will entertain you for a couple of hours, I would recommend this.
