Mike Bassett - Series One (DVD)

Mike Bassett Manager follows on from the film Mike Bassett: England Manager. It stars Ricky Tomlinson, who is a football manager. In regards to the film, Mike is sacked after a dismal European qualifying campaign with England including a dismal defeat to Liechtenstein. He has spells with Newcastle but gets them relegated and also fails miserably at managing the clubs of Norwich and Colchester. Due to his failures Mike decides to retire but is offered the managers job at Wirral County, where his father once played. Any football fan will thoroughly enjoy this program, the cast is great.
