Danny Boyle is a director best known for his psychological thrillers such as Shallow Grave and 28 Days Later, and of course the Oscar-winning drama Slumdog Millionaire. One of his lesser known films, though, is equally as valid - Millions - a charming tale that may seem to be little more than a fluffy kids film, but has a wealth of humanism deep at its core, and is wel worth a watch. Damian Cunningham is the boy hero in Danny Boyle's film, Millions, and I have never seen a hero quite like him. Unlike most heroes in family films Damian is not a self-interested rogue. He doesn't rebel against authority. Instead, he is charming, courageous, creative, unpredictable and righteous. He is also extremely naive, and that's why in his quest to hand over an unforeseen fortune to the needy, he finds himself in a dangerous world. The unforeseen fortune has been the premise of a few comedies - most of them bad.
