Advantages: Good atmosphere, genuinely creepy

Disadvantages: Avoid if you dont like cockroaches, or if you've just eaten!

Well, I hadn't seen this movie for a while, and I came across it again whilst perusing my dvd collection the other night and decided to watch it again - Although I'd not seen it for a while, I have seen it several times before and thoroughly enjoyed it each time.

I wont spoil the plot for anyone who hasnt seen it, but it obviously involves cockroaches, so if you dont like them, steer WELL clear!!!

There are some pretty good effects in this movie, given its age, and given the fact that it didnt have a massive budget - they still hold their own against some of todays movies.

Cast is pretty good too, with some pretty solid performances from the main stars.

What did shock me somewhat is the way in which you just cannot tell (unless you have seen it before of course) who is going to kick the bucket - obviously I cant say any more about this without spoiling it so I shall shut up now!

This movie is definitely worth a watch - make sure you get the original though, as opposed to either of the sequels as neither of them live up to this.
