To be perfectly honest I only watched this dvd last Sunday night as I had nothing else to watch so I wasn't excepting much. However I am now a big fan of this film and would recommend it to anyone. Miss Potter managed to transfix me as I was drawn into her life her love and her books. The film tells the story of Beatrix Potters early life and despite her struggles and hidden love it is a heart warming story and very enjoyable. The two leads Renee Zellweger And Ewan McGregor are both excellent though Emily Watson steals every scene she is in. The scenary of the Lake District is shot beautifully and helps to convince you why Beatrix Potter not only lived the place so much but why she bought much of the land to save it from over development.
I never really liked Beatrix Potter before this film as I had heard and seen her books but never read them. However after this film and reading some more info about Beatrix Potter I am a big fan of hers as she was a woman who was a pioneer and an innovator.
Therefore thank you Miss Potter the dvd as you have managed to open my eyes to what a unique person Beatrix Potter was as well as entertaining me you have helped educate me.

Summary: THE ORIGINAL POTTER HAS DONE WELL
