Imagine if you will, a world made up entirely of monsters, and where children are scarey and toxic. In this world they are so afraid of children even a human childs sock is forbidden and can alert an entire task force to remove it.

But in this world their only source of power is the scream of a human child, and this is where monsters inc comes in.

MONSTERS INC

Monsters inc is a company who supplys the power to the whole monster world. They do this by training up monsters in their academy to become scarey, so then they can enter the childrens bedrooms by going through their closet doors to scare them. Then while the child is screaming their screams are then collected and placed into a large container where it is ready to supply power to the monster world.

THE DOORS

The monsters inc has the closet doors to each and every human child all over the world. The closet doors are the portal's which enables the monsters to enter into the human world where they can collect the screams of the human children.

Each night while the children are sleeping, their closet doors are taken out of storage and delivered down onto the scare floor of the monsters inc company. There they are powered up making it possible for the monsters to enter the childrens bedrooms.

Each monster has it's own scare assistant, who coaches him to be scarey, and collects all the childrens screams while the monster is scaring the child.


THE CHARACTERS

BOO
***

Boo is the cheeky little toddler who manages to get through the closet door and enter the monster world. Once in the monster world she is be-friended by two monsters, Sullivan (Sully) and Mike Wzowski (Mikey), who desperatley try and find Boo's white flowery door to get her back into the human world before she is noticed.


SULLIVAN (SULLY)

With the voice of
John Goodman, Sully is the large, Blue furred and purple spotted monster, who is the top scarer at the monsters inc company.


MIKE WZOWSKI (MIKEY)
********************

With the voice of Billy Crystal, Mikey is a one eyed green monster. He is the assistant, room mate, and best friend of Sully.


WATERNOOSE

Water noose is a crab like monster, and head of the monsters inc, which has been in his family for generations. With children not being afraid of monsters as much as they used to be, it is Waternooses job to make sure the supply of screams keeps coming in.


RANDALL BOGGS

Randall is the 8 legged chameleon, who is number two scarer at monsters inc. He is always hoping to knock Sully off the number one spot. He also has someting up his sleeve to make sure the supply of power does'nt run out in the monsters world.


MY OPINION OF THE FILM

I was going to this film expecting it to be a film that just my children would enjoy, but I can assure you the adults laughs were just as loud as the childrens. This is a film that will make you laugh and cry, as you see Mikey and Sully desperatley trying to get Boo back into the human world without anyone noticing she is there. You will laugh when they think she is toxic and have to catch her without touching her, and you will cry when she has to say goodbye to her new friends, but you will throughly enjoy this film, and like me, you wont beable to wait till it comes out on video so I can watch it over and over again with my kids.

I think Pixar and Disney have definatley done it again and created a superb animation for all the family to love and enjoy.
