Advantages: great cast great singing
Disadvantages: none
Co-written and directed by Baz Luhrmann Moulin Rouge is a musical drama starring Nicole Kidman and Ewan McGregor.
Christian (McGregor), a penniless writer moves from London to Paris, where he befriends a group of people that include Toulouse-Lautrec (John Leguizamo). Christian alson meets and falls in love with Satine (Kidman), a performer at the Moulin Rouge, who suffers from tuberculosis.
However, the efforts of Zidler (Jim Broadbent) manager of 'M R' to make the place more glamorous have made the place lamost bancrupt and a cash burst is needed quickly before they face closure. financial support could come from a Duke but thaty depends on Satine becoming his mistress, this makes Satine and Christian to make difficult decisions.
The performances of Nicole Kidman and Ewan McGregor were as always wonderful. They're both good singers and their duets together were great.
Disc one of the two-disc DVD set includes two separate commentary tracks, which personally I hate and find the commentaries very boring. it spoils the film.
Disc One also has a feature called 'Behind the Red Curtain,' where at certain places during the film a fairy iwill appear on the screen and you can press a button to see behind the scenes.
Disc Two has loads of bonus extras. Music videos , commentaries, old story lines, Dance Sequences, Costume Design ,Graphic Design, Photo Gallery, Poster Gallery ,Trailers and so much more I cant list them all.
