What a strange film. Part of me liked its audacious style and the idea was certainly orginal. It was interesting to see modern day music set to a backdrop that you would normally associate with the can-can or the waltz. But whether it was entertaining or not is another matter.

Obviously I sat through the whole film or I wouldn't be writing this review but I must admint there were times when I wish I were somewhere else.

The film starts off quite slow but gradually gains momentum. It finished with a finale that is flushed with colour and the added romance only serves to add to this. At times the whole luvey-duvey thing got a bit tedious with numerous references to cliches about love making the world go round and love being all there is. But this is obviously a matter of opinion and an opinion that was too often repeated and lost its meaning by the film's conclusion.

Overall, an entertaining film nonetheless but not one I would particularly want to see again or recommend.
