This film is absolutely brilliant. It makes such a change going to the cinema to see a film which you just don't see everyday. Musicals were all in around the time of Mary Poppins, the Sound of Music etc. but from then up until now we haven't seen as good a film, in its standard for being directed right though to the superb acting. At first i had my reservations about going to see the film, as the Moulan Rouge is connected with prostitutes but the film raises this area carefully and thankfully didn't have that many bad references. I thought it was absoloutely wonderful the way that different songs from different artists were used in the film, i was constantly trying to figue out which artist had previously sang that. I would strongly recommend going to see this film, it is so sad (when i went to see it one woman beside me couldn't stop balling her eyes out, she thought it was that sad). Superb acting and overall a superb film
