What type of comedy do you like? Personally I like all types; slapstick, gentle, dark, black, jokey, visual, the list goes on. I also know what type of comedy I don't like and that list is a lot shorter - comedy that's mean. A film like 'Borat' skates the thin line between meanness and satire. Personally, I think its works as Sacha Baron Cohen is often making a fool of himself, or those that deserve it. The kind of humour I dislike is stuff like 'Mr Bean'. The poor bloke tries his best, but he is constantly put down. I don't find this humour funny, I find it depressing. His own painful memories revolve around Mr Woodcock, the sadistic gym teacher who made his life hell as a kid with his various methods of pain and humiliation. ... Read the complete review

This is one of those light hearted comedy films that I knew I would fall in love with. No complex storyline to worry about, no edgy drama keeping you on the end of your seat, and plenty of laughs to fill the time. This is the story of a young (rather chubby) boy, bullied by his P.E teacher during gym class. He grows up to become the author of a best selling self-help book, and returns to his home town to find his mother is now dating said P.E teacher. Twenty years on and still picking on the kids in his class; Mr Woodcock has not changed one bit. The now fully grown Alex then goes against the adbice given in his own book, and - teaming up with an old pal - ... Read the complete review
