David Lynch is one of those film-makers whose work I will always make an effort to go and see. He makes unique, challenging and often disturbing films. His last, The Straight Story, was something of a departure, being a simple, straightforward story. Mulholland Drive, a film that started life as a pilot for a TV series that never got made, and languished for a while until Lynch was offered the funding to turn the pilot into a feature film, is very much back to Lynch's more 'normal' weird and wonderful style. Well you all know by now that I am a little bit mental and it should come as no shock to you that I love absolutely weird movies. So when I read about a film called Mulholland Drive on the internet, being boasted that it was the oddest film around, I just knew I had to check it out.
