Advantages: Funny and entertaining

Disadvantages: not Cameron Diaz's best role

My best friends wedding is one of my favourite girlie flicks, I think it is funny, romantic and very entertaining.

The film stars Julia Roberts as the jealous best friend and Dermot Mulroney as the very gorgeous man she is jealous over.

The plot:
The film is basically about two best friends who have known each other for many years and always had a special connectionbetween them, which Julia Roberts thinks is love but never realised it, and when she finds out her best friend is to marry someone else she desperatly wants to try and win him for herself. As the story goes on she tries to jinx the wedding and make up things to try and split the happy couple up.

Cameron Diaz plays the bride trying to keep her fiance, does she keep hold of him, or will Julia Roberts get her wish...well you will have to see the film for yourself to find out. All I will say is the ending is a very happy one although very bitter sweet.

There are some funny moments throughout the film and Rupert Everett has a good part in them too, there are also some musical moments which are very funny.

I find the film good to watch, but it is occasionally week in parts as you know what is coming, and I find it hard to believe Cameron Diaz at times as she plays a very prim and proper lady and I have to say its not one of her best roles, she lets the film down for me. Having said that I still enjoy the film and could watch it regularly, especially when I want a good old cry!!

Great little girlie flick.

Summary: well worth a viewing
