Advantages: great for the whole family

Disadvantages: may be to scary for the youngest children

OK, so I'm nearly 23 but I've wanted to see this film since I saw it advertised when it was at the cinema. Not being able ton convince anyone that they too want to watch it I decided to watch it once lonely Saturday night.

I had visioned a bit of a twist on Mary Poppins but this wasn't to be.

I do not want to give away the plot.

The film is aimed at children however I did enjoy it! It did have it's twists and turns and so the plot wasn't entirely as expected.

I can't remember what the rating of the film is but I wouldn't recommend letting young children watch it alone, anything about 8 or 10 will probably be fine on their own.

This film had some great acting from Colin Firth but inparticular from Simon, the young boy. I'm sure I've seen him in something before but can't quite place what.

Children will find the film funny and perhaps scary in parts but it's a non stop film with no scenes there just to fill.

Great family film for a rainy afternoon.

Summary: watch all together for some family time

A little bit of plot description - just a very quick idea of the premise - would be useful.
