Advantages: Amazingly funny

Disadvantages: Nothing

Christmas is a wonderful time of the year that comes only once. That is mainly why the Griswold’s do not think twice about decorating the house completely with thousands of twinkling lights, which don’t actually twinkle.

Clark is a family man, who wants nothing more than to have the perfect Christmas at home with his close family, and to hopefully avoid the bickering between his parents, and his in-laws.

Problems occur right from the start, as he forgets the saw in a quest to find the perfect (and oversized) Christmas tree.

Even if it isn’t the holiday season, it’s a brilliant film to watch over and over again, until you know all of the words from the ‘snow plunging through neighbours house’ scene.

From the very first scene, it will have you in hysterics. Chevy Chase delivers his role perfectly, especially the emotion he shows with the unexpected arrival of his cousin Eddie, with his boss (who decided to cut the bonus, and give him a subscription to a Jelly club instead) in a big, red ribbon.
