I have watched a lot of films lately so had taken a little break as I had done a bit of a movie overdose. However, today I was ready to get back to viewing some more and the title that stood out on my shelf this time was ‘Night At The Museum’. I remember seeing the trailer a while back and although it showed Ben Stiller who I am a fan of as he is usually funny, I wasn’t sure exactly how from what shown on the trailer this could develop into a plot. I missed it in the cinema but doubt I’d have paid anyway so saw the DVD once and decided to buy it as curiosity had gotten the better of me. Like I said before with Ben Stiller starring I knew it had to be a comedy so at least ... Read the complete review

Larry Daley is a bit of a loser when it comes to finding a job. He has been through so many that his ex-partner is reluctant to let their son stay with him again until he has found some stability. As a last resort, Larry manages to get a job as a night security officer in the Museum of Natural History. On his first night in the job, he is horrified when the museum exhibits come alive, from the huge dinsosaur skeleton to the tiny toy soldiers. The statue of Theodore Roosevelt explains that ever since an Egyptian tablet was brought into the museum, the artefacts have come to life at night, unbeknownst to all but the security guards. Reluctant to give up the job and ... Read the complete review

I enjoyed this film. I wasnt expecting to, thought it would be another daft comedy. Especially when I discovered it was directed by Shawn Levy who also directed Just Married. This Ive seen and can't remember anything about. Not a good starting point! Anyway back to Night at the Museum!... This film stars Ben Stiller as hopeless dad and ex husband Larry Daley. When the film starts it seems like just another story of a dad trying to win over his son. Larry is a bit of a dreamer, he invents things. As a result he's never got any money and has to keep moving home. He is a weekend dad to his son and this is making his son feel unsettled. Larrys ex wife ... Read the complete review

Hollywood spends lot of money on making family films. In Night at the Museum the industry has created a fine family film which is funny and clear of rubbish, complicated plot or too much information that makes films boring. Here the plot is about a failed dad, he is not good at anything. Having been divorced and no respect from his little boy Larry Daley finds a job as night watchman at the Museum of Natural History. An Egyptian curse through a golden tablet belonging to king Ahkmenrah of Old Egypt brings all the creatures and historical figures to life. First Larry does lot of running chased by Skelton of a Rex, old historical figures doing their ... Read the complete review

I think this film is very good entertainment for the family. At night the museums occupants come to life and its Larry (Ben Stillers) job to keep things under control. This is refreshingly original that is full of excellent special effects & action. The cast is very good all the way through, I was sursprised to see Ricky Gervais & Steve Coogan in it but both were excellent. There is always plenty going on with various sub plots running all the time. I think this film will appeal to any age group from Teenagers upto ... Read the complete review
